Good afternoon,
Page 13 is all uploaded and ready for your viewing pleasure.

I’ve said it before and I will bug you about it again please feel free to tell your friends and also if you have a minute like my Facebook page, follow on Twitter or sign up for email alerts on the side of this page.

Hello everyone.

Its been a while since my last post and I’d like to say I’ve been busy creating new pages for my comic but unfortunately I’ve been mostly working. During my miniscule breaks from the wonderful world of signalling I’ve been watching as much as possible of Team GB at the Olympics. On a more creative subject I’ve been attempting to get some work done on my wife’s friends cupcake artwork. The main logo went down well and I’ve been asked to design business cards and leaflets. Here is a link to Sweet E’s Cupcakes on Facebook for anyone who lives in and around South East Essex. She makes some cracking cakes and will probably bring me some for including her in this post.

I was also given the task of sorting kits for the 7 a-side football team and designing a logo for the club badge. I’ve added the badge below.

When I’ve had a few spare minutes at work I’ve been practicing various drawing styles and subjects with a view to actually drawing the next page of Bionic Eyed Snail and being happy with it. Hopefully I’ll get out of the slump I’m in and get back to the comic. All the drawing I’ve been doing has led to a colleague asking me to design him a tattoo. He wants a day of the dead style sleeve and this is something I’m going to crack on with in the next couple of days.

With my 30th birthday fast approaching my wife had arranged with a friend to have Sir Michael Caine sign some Italian Job related goodies for me at the premiere of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it after hurting his leg in New York. It just so happened that my wife revealed this to me while I was looking longingly at the Kickstarter campaign set up by Jason Brubaker for ReMIND Vol. 2. I stumbled across this site during a bored google session. Without this site and the amazing artwork on it I would probably never have been inspired to rekindle my love of drawing. As far as I’m concerned this guy is a genius. Anyway I’m getting carried away.

The whole idea of Jason’s Kickstarter is to raise money to be able to self publish the second volume of his graphic novel. Fans can pledge money and receive rewards depending on the amount. I excitedly went for the top option (at the time) and pledged $120 and a bit of postage which guaranteed me a box set including a signed, sketched and numbered copy of volume 2 and a signed and numbered copy of the first volume which was kept back from the first Kickstarter. This option had a very limited run which sold out on the 2nd day. Jason wanted to raise $24000 in 30 days to cover printing costs etc and after 9 days he is up to $52000+ already. There are still plenty of pledge options to go for and if you are a fan of comics, graphic novels or amazing artwork then you should have a look at the site and the Kickstarter. I’ve included links below to both sites so please take a look and support a great project.

People cheering, waving flags and having street parties. As much as I was looking forward to the ninth page of Bionic Eyed Snail I didn’t expect the entire country to go mad like it has. I’m not sure who organised it but the pageant on the Thames with the Queen in attendance was a really nice touch.

While sitting there watching the rather unexpected but much appreciated celebrations I did notice a familiar little gastropod hitching a lift on one of the boats in the flotilla. I tracked a picture down on the web and I’ll keep my eyes peeled over the next few days to see if he pops up elsewhere.

Here is an extra little picture of what people were waving in the crowds.

The computer issues have been resolved and Page 6 of Bionic Eyed Snail is up and running. I’ve also replaced pages 3 and 5 with lighter versions so hopefully they should be easier to view. I’m not sure why but the images show up darker on this site than they do on Photoshop.

Hopefully by now this is starting to look like a comic book version of a ‘B’ movie. When I first started drawing it I wanted to fill it full of puns and cheesy lines to make people chuckle. I hope I’ve achieved this. You may have noticed that the main character is rarely the same size, I purposely haven’t bothered trying to keep him to scale as I have noticed that they don’t do it in films. One that really sticks in my mind is Deep Blue Sea, there is a giant shark that is 50 feet long in one scene and fits through a door in another.

Anyway enough babbling on, go and read the page. At the risk of sounding like a broken record please like the Facebook group, follow on twitter and generally spread the word.

Hello Snail fans,

I’ve just added the next page of the comic onto my WordPress site. Please click on the link and take a look. Feel free to like the page or site on Facebook or retweet on twitter so I get more hits. Its becoming a bit of an obsession now, I check far too often how many people have been on the site and where they were from. If you want news and updates then there is a box on the left menu bar that allows you add your e-mail or you could sign up to the Facebook page at

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy it.

Page 5 is all drawn and scanned in ready to be coloured. I’ll do that over the weekend and then it’ll be uploaded for Sunday evening ready for you all to read.

Here is another postcard from Bionic Eyed Snail’s world tour.

My Sky+ box was starting to look a bit full so I decided to spend the morning clearing some of the older programs out. To my surprise I noticed a familiar evil eye lurking in the background on a couple of programs. I’ve added some screen caps below and I’ll keep an eye out for more. As he rarely tells me his plans I assume that he is trying to send some sort of subliminal message through our media but maybe he is just stalking Holly Willoughby. Who knows?

Just remember that he is always watching you!

I’ve finished page 4 a bit earlier than expected so thought that I might as well upload it straight away. Hope you like it.

Hopefully this page will get the site up to 1000 hits. It’s not far of and so far there have been hits from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Ireland, South Korea, Italy, Ireland and obviously the UK.

Come on people spread the word by liking posts on Facebook, retweeting and generally letting people know about your favorite psychopathic gastropod.

Enjoy and help me get 1000 hits.
